Diane Lucero has three children listening to their Mother tell stories of the Pueblo. Diane is from Jemez Pueblo. She learned to make her figures from her husband Joseph Fragua.
The pottery figures, called Story Tellers, commemorate the oral tradition of Elders telling children stories they had heard in their youth. Folk Tales, religion and customs were passed from one generation to the next.
