Jennifer Tafoya Moquino's small fish pot is a hand coiled , pit fired,and painted with natural slips. Trout swim around the surface of the pot. Jennifer has used incredible details a tiny Nymph is being eyed by a large. Also she has used a new surface detail in one of the medallions. She has done a scale like texture to add to the appeal of this pot. The pot is stone polished to a high sheen. Pit firing creates the black color of the clay. The pot is then etched and natural slips are added for the exquisite colors. Jennifer is an award winning potter from Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico. 2.5" high 2" wide. |
