Ida Sahmie is probably the best known Navajo potters to use Hopi techniques to create her beautiful pottery. The dancers dance in the firelight, casing shadows on the ground.
Ida gathers her own natural slips and paints the pots using a Yucca needles. Ida pit fires her in an open pit.
